"Photography enables me to record the transient patterns, textures and forms that are produced by light. By capturing these instants, unique moments in time which would otherwise be lost, I not only preserve my concept of a particular scene or event but can also  share the image with others."

Kathleen M. Podolsky earned her B.A. in Fine Arts at California State University, San Jose and continued studying photography at the College of San Mateo. She is a members of the Focus Photographic Society of San Carlos and the National Association of PhotoShop Professionals. Her photographs have appeared in publications and images have been purchased by private and public collections. Several books of her work are available.

During a trip to New Zealand in 2007 she was introduced to Paper Decoupage - 3 dimensional images. As soon as she arrived home she began using her photographs to create some of these fascinating constructions. She found that it takes approximately a week to make one. Using multiple copies of an image, she cuts out sections, then mounts them in successive layers to construct the 3-dimensional effect.
